    About Department

The Department has well equipped laboratories with state-of-art facilities and well experienced and competent faculty members with diverse specialization in their master degrees. The department has been continuously imparting standard and quality service to the students for the past 21 years with intake of 40,the department has been inculcating moral values in addition to the curricular and co-curricular activities The Electronics & Instrumentation, being an inter-disciplinary branch of engineering, is heading towards development of new & intelligent sensors, smart transducers, MEMS technology, and Blue tooth technology. The field of Instrumentation has undergone rapid changes in recent times with the advent of real time applications. The automation systems in the production are rapidly being enhanced and the demand for highly skilled instrumentation engineers is on the rise. The Department has received a grant of 1.6 lacs towards three days VTU-VGST Faculty Development Programme on “INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION & CONTROL” during the year 2010-11 & a grant of 2.0 lacs towards Five days VTU-VGST Faculty Development Programme “ADVANCED BIOMEDICAL INSTRUMENTATION OPPURTUNITIES CHALLENGES” during the year 2011-12. The E &IE Department has been actively participating in State Level Project Exhibition/Competition held across Karnataka. Many final year student projects are sponsored by KSCST, Bengaluru to put it crisply, the E8IE engineers aim to 'measure the world accurately and to control it precisely'. The EIE Department equips students with knowledge of instruments and their management.
