The Indian Society for Technical Education(ISTE)
- RYMEC is an Educational Institution Member with Membership Number – M10206 valid till 28th February 2021.Total 75 students were registered in csi students chapter.Various events are conducted in association with CSI & CSE dept.
- The seed for the Computer Society of India (CSI) was first shown in the year 1965 with a handful of IT enthusiasts who were a computer user group and felt the need to organize their activities.
- They also wanted to share their knowledge and exchange ideas on what they felt was a fast emerging sector.
- Today the CSI takes pride in being the largest and most professionally managed association of and for IT professionals in India.
- The purposes of the Society are scientific and educational directed towards the advancement of the theory and practice of computer science and IT.

- The CSI regularly organizes conferences, conventions, lectures, projects, regular training and skill updating are organised for the IT professionals.
Activities under CSI:
1. Importance and awareness of CSI to Computer Science & Engineering Students on 6th April 2016 R Y M Engineering College , Ballari.
2. Computer Society of India Student chapter Industrial visit to TSN Cotton Ginning and Pressing Factory,Industrial area, Ballari on
3rd February 2017.
3. Two day workshop on "Socket Programming in Linux and Maneuver for Computer Science Research" on 06th & 7th February 2017 at R Y M Engineering College , Ballari.
Resource person: Dr. R H Goudar,Associate Prof., PG Center VTU, Belagavi.
4. Department of computer science and engineering in association with Computer Society of India Organized Two Day National Projects Symposium &Technical Fest "Vidara-2017" on 05th & 6th may 2017 at R Y M Engineering College , Ballari.
