Mode of Communication has slowly transformed from Telegraphy to Telephony and today we have touched the moon and information is at our figure tips with high speed data transfer rates. Mode of communication has undergone this remarkable change due to rapid advancement in Technology. The present day concept of 'Global Village' has increased the importance of communication.
M.Tech in Digital Communication & Networking is established in the year 2013 with an intake of 18 students, which is aimed to provide students with a wide variety of opportunities, in Industry and in R & D fields.
The revised curriculum is credit system, which is designed to make the students to excel in areas of advanced modulation techniques, Error control, Networking, Satellite Communication, Mobile and Wireless Communication, Microwave and Antenna design and optical fiber communication.
To build on this strong base, Students can specialize by choosing electives like CMOS VLSI Design, Nan electronics, Multimedia communication, DSP algorithms and RF MEMS, Supported by advanced communication Lab with Experiments on Digital Signal Processing using MATLAB and DSP processor. Students must undertake Industry Internship and Project Work in 3rd & 4th semester. To cater these needs the department is well equipped with high end LAB facilitates and Qualified faculty members with Digital Library and Wi-Fi facility.
