About Department
The department of EEE, established in 1984 with the approval of AICTE, is set in an open, student friendly atmosphere. We have a fine blend of dynamic and experienced faculty who provide quality education at UG level. With VISVESVARAYA TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY curriculum, the Department places equal emphasis on theoretical and practical domains of electrical and electronics engineering. The laboratories are highly modernized to reflect the rapidly changing trends in technology. The Department has well qualified faculty and excellent facilities for students. The faculty and students have publications in the reputed National and International Journals.
.Electrical engineering focuses on the generation and supply of Electric power, whereas electronics engineering is the application of electricity to control systems or signal processing. Electrical & Electrical engineers specialize in areas such as power systems engineering or electrical equipment manufacturing, signal processing and control systems.

Welcome to the department of ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS. The department works with the objective of addressing critical challenges faced by the Industry, society and the academia. The department is also moving forward towards the goal of providing innovative and quality education with high standard to achieve academic excellence through a nice blend of course work and projects. The department endows students with ability to apply knowledge of science, mathematics and engineering to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams, develop leadership, technical expertise, and practice engineering with ethical approaches which is concern for society and environment...Thus we are confident that our engineers will emerge as assets not only to this institution and to the organization they belong.
