About
Computer Science research centre was established in the year 2006-07 and it was obtained under the Grant-in Aid by AICTE New Delhi under MODROB Scheme as Machine learning and soft computing Lab. The Chief Coordinator for this laboratory was Dr.K.Karibasappa and now it’s leaded by Dr.T Hanumantha Reddy vice Principal and HOD of Computer Science and Engineering as the Chief Coordinator of the research lab. This research lab is located in Department of Computer Science and Engineering with carpet area of 130.39 Sqmtrs and the equipment cost of this lab is 7.5 Lakhs as on 2017-18. This lab is loaded with 20 systems of HCL and Dell Company, One laser Jet printer, One HP Colour Printer, One HP Scanner and One Hp Design Jet Plotter.
Objectives

Plan and Implementation status of R & D activities for the next three Academic Year
Within the framework of next three years roadmap 2017–2020, the Computer Science R&D Implementation Plan identifies the research and development actions need to be carried out while taking into account the fast evolutions of Research activities.
Following are the plans to be carried out in various research areas
- Design and development of innovative algorithms in Data Science
- To develop an effective algorithm to mine the data
- To design and develop the tools for analysing the data
- To implement the effective patterns of polysemy words
- To provide an effective result by using soft computing tools and techniques
- Design and development of Human and Computer Interaction and Disability
- To make HCI designers aware of the needs of people with disabilities;
- To recommend guidelines for the design of HCI to facilitate the use of computers by people with disabilities;
- To monitor the latest developments in the design of HCI and their impact on accessibility and usability
- To encourage the development of information systems and complementary tools which permit the adaptation of the human interface for each specific user.
- Big data analytics algorithms using soft computing tools
- Conducting an experiment with short and long text documents for learning in big data analytics.
- New algorithm/ techniques will be proposed and will be tested with datasets.
- Knowledge graph techniques will be proposed for learning.
- New graphical data structures will be proposed for pruning of redundant patterns. Non-redundant structures will be effective and useful for selection of useful patterns.
- Techniques will be applied to defined datasets and also online documents which are available on web domain.
- Intelligent classroom monitoring system
- To develop the system which helps to monitor the activity of student
- Helps to monitor the status of the classroom sessions
- Automatic attendance monitoring to enhance the academic activities.
- Development of Home Appliance Control Using Android Application Project
- To control electrical loads by making use of an android application.
- To control electrical loads based on the Bluetooth input signal received from the android device.
